What we collect

If you subscribe to a code, we store your email address and the codes you opted into. Server logs hold IP addresses for 14 days for abuse prevention. Analytics is privacy-friendly and aggregated; no cookies and no cross-site identifiers.

Why we process it

To deliver the alerts you asked for, to keep the site running, and to debug problems. We do not sell or share data for advertising.

Legal basis

Subscription email is processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and contract performance. Server logs and security telemetry rest on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Sub-processors

We use the following sub-processors. Each row lists what the supplier does and where data sits.

Retention

Subscription records live while your subscription is active and for 30 days after unsubscribe (grace period for re-confirm). Server logs roll off at 14 days. Analytics events roll off at 30 days. Query logs (hashed session ID, no IP) roll off at 90 days. Backups roll off at 30 days. We delete on request.

Your rights

Under GDPR Art. 15 to 22 you can request access (a copy of your data), correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, and object to processing. Email [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your supervisory authority. For BrotCode that is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
